DevLog - Questupdate

It is done.
Version 0.3.0, the Quest Update for Legends of Arthengard, is complete and currently in the testing and polishing phase.
The centerpiece of the update is the new quest system, which comes in two fundamentally different forms. Personal quests can be accepted and completed by each player independently. City quests, on the other hand, are events that require the entire community to work together to fend off threats or earn special rewards. With this update, the existing menu item “City Contracts” will be renamed to “Quests” and will serve as the single hub for all quest types going forward.
Alongside the quest system itself, version 0.3.0 also brings a range of quality-of-life improvements, including numerous info tooltips that now explain many game mechanics directly in the game.
What did not make it into this update is the planned AI dialogue system. The primary reason is quality. A half-baked dialogue system that hallucinates hundreds of things that simply do not fit the game does not meet my standards. Financial considerations play a role as well, as does the fact that for reasons of data protection and digital sovereignty, I exclusively use and intend to continue using EU-based LLMs. I have therefore decided to put this feature on hold for now and re-evaluate it with each new Mistral update. Quests work perfectly well without it.
My target release date is around May 1st. The exact timing depends, as always, on Apple and Google.
