DevLog – First Real Players. Much to Learn

Recently, the first streamer and her community have been active in Legends of Arthengard, and I’d be lying if I said everything went smoothly.

The concept resonated—the game world, the shared city, the idea behind it all. However, the onboarding process mercilessly highlighted how “tunnel-visioned” one can become as a solo developer. Things that seem self-evident to me are not necessarily clear to new players. Explanations I thought were sufficient fell short; workflows that felt logical to me caused confusion. There truly is no substitute for real feedback from real players.

Because of this, I’m currently doing some intensive polishing alongside my work on Update 0.3.0. Tutorials are being redesigned, processes are being streamlined, and anything that isn’t self-explanatory is getting a proper explanation. It’s not glamorous work, but it’s probably the most important thing I can do right now.

Update 0.3.0 itself will be more extensive and will take a bit longer accordingly. More on what it will bring soon.
