Terms of Service for Legends of Arthengard

1. Scope

These Terms of Service govern the use of the game Legends of Arthengard (Web Login and Mobile App).

2. Game Status: Limited Early Access

  • Development Phase: The game is currently in a "Limited Early Access" phase.
  • No Claim to Usage: As the game is in development, there is no legal entitlement to access, server availability, or freedom from errors. Operations may be suspended temporarily or permanently at any time.
  • Data Loss (Wipes): We reserve the right to completely reset game progress (save data, inventory, cities) in the course of updates or bug fixes.

3. Access Types & Age

  • Mobile App (Players): Usage from age 13.
  • Web Interface (Streamers): Usage only for selected partners aged 18 and above.

4. Technical Requirements (Twitch)

  • Twitch Account: An active Twitch account is mandatory. It serves as login and for technical linking.
  • Dependency: Should the Twitch account be deleted or suspended, access to Legends of Arthengard is technically no longer possible and the game progress will be lost.

5. Special Obligations for Streamers

  • Bot Integration: The streamer must ensure that the official game bot ("VoiceOfArthengard") has read and write permissions in the chat to ensure the chatbot's functionality.
  • Responsibility: The streamer is responsible for the moderators to whom they grant administrative rights for their city in the game.

6. Costs & Monetization

  • Permanently Free: The game is and will remain fundamentally free-to-play.
  • Future Features: We reserve the right to introduce optional, paid additional content or features for monetization in the future that enhance the gaming experience.

7. Inactivity & Account Deletion

To clean up the database, inactive accounts will be irrevocably deleted after certain periods. "Inactivity" exists when no login to the game occurs.

The periods are based on game progress:

Users WITHOUT Character:

  • Deletion occurs immediately after 10 days of inactivity (without warning).

Users WITH Character but WITHOUT City:

  • Warning via email/notification after 15 days of inactivity.
  • Final deletion after 30 days of inactivity.

Users WITH Character AND City:

  • Warning after 75 days of inactivity.
  • Warning after 85 days of inactivity.
  • Final deletion after 90 days of inactivity.

8. Game Rules & Fair Play

  • Bug Using: Deliberately exploiting errors is prohibited.
  • Multi-Accounts: Playing with multiple accounts is allowed.
  • Exclusion: The operator exercises virtual house rights and may exclude users at any time for violations or disruption of game operations.

9. Disclaimer

The game is provided "as is". Any warranty for software errors, server failures, or data loss is excluded to the extent legally permissible.

10. Changes

These terms may be updated at any time to meet new legal or technical requirements.
